What is it?

UTM parameters are short text codes added to a URL so you can measure where traffic comes from. They work with Google Analytics and other analytics tools, and are not affected by third-party cookie changes.

Why would I use it?

UTM parameters help you see which channels and campaigns drive engagement or conversions. Use them to compare email vs social vs paid search, or to A/B test different links that point to the same page.

When should I use it?

Use UTM parameters when you run campaigns across more than one channel — ads, email, social posts, QR codes, partner links, and more.

Tips
  • Prefer lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores for consistent reporting.
  • Complete Source and Medium so traffic shows clearly in Komo analytics.
  • You can add parameters to card share links and Hub share links from those share modals.

How to build a campaign URL in Komo

  1. Open your workspace and go to Tools.
  2. Open UTM Builder.
  3. Enter the Website URL you want people to visit.
  4. Fill in Source, Medium, and any other fields you need. Placeholders show common examples.
  5. Copy the URL Preview into your ads, emails, social posts, or designs.
The preview updates as you type. You can also edit UTM parameters when sharing a Hub or Card.
