What is it

When inviting new members you have the choice to give them a role of either a viewer, editor, or owner. Viewers will only be able to overlook your company without the ability to edit. The editor role grants these lack of permissions and the owner grants equal ability to you. You also have the ability to resend invites if needed.

FAQ

How do I change a member’s email address (for example, after a company rebrand)? On the Company Members page (under Company Settings), you can update an accepted member’s email. Changing the email does not change their role or workspace access unless you also change those.
  1. Open Company Settings → Company Members.
  2. If your company has Allowed Members rules (Email domains or Email addresses), the new email must match them — otherwise the form shows “Email does not match required format for company”. When moving to a new email domain, add it under Allowed Members → Email domains first (this section is visible to members with the Owner role).
  3. In the members table, open the … menu for the member and select Update.
  4. In the Update member modal, change the Email field. You can also update Name, and Role if you are allowed to assign roles.
  5. Click Update. A “Member updated” toast appears.
Komo sends a notification about the change to the member’s old email address. The new email can’t already be used by another Komo account — if it is, the update won’t save and the Email field shows an error (“Invalid email” or “Email is already used”). Members can update their own name and email; updating other members needs member-management permission (for example, the Owner role). Can I resend the invite if I have entered the wrong details? Resend Invite sends the same invite again — it does not change the name, email, or role. For a pending invite (not yet accepted), the … menu only has Resend Invite and Revoke member; there is no Update or edit option. To fix a wrong email or other details, click Revoke member, then invite the person again with the correct details. Why would I want to add a viewer over an editor? You might find it useful to add specific members as viewers, such as marketers, collaborators and peers so that they can overlook relevant hub analytics, promotion mechanics, and user details. What is the difference between editor and owner? Owners can edit the portal, invite new members, revoke member invites, update details and delete members while an editor can edit the portal, manage API keys, and send password reset links for members.
