Overview

Entry Management is your comprehensive control center for handling all competition entries across your Komo cards. This powerful interface provides advanced filtering, search, bulk operations, and export capabilities to help you efficiently manage thousands of entries while maintaining data integrity and fraud prevention.
Note: Entry Management works in conjunction with Entry Rules for fraud prevention and Data Capture for form configuration.

Accessing Entry Management

To access the Entry Management interface:
  • Navigate to your Engagement Hub and click on a card with data capture enabled
  • In the card editing modal, select the Data capture tab
  • Click on the Entries tab within the data capture dropdown
This opens the comprehensive entry management interface where you can view, filter, search, and manage all entries for that specific card.

Advanced Entry Filtering & Search

Search Functionality

Use the search bar to quickly find specific entries by:
  • Contact name — Find entries by participant name
  • Email address — Search using full or partial email addresses
  • Phone number — Locate entries by phone number

Column Filtering

Click the table columns filter button to customize which data fields are displayed. Available columns include:
  • Contact Information — Name, email, phone number
  • Entry Status — Qualified, Disqualified, or other custom statuses
  • Timestamps — Entry creation date and time
  • Consent Fields:
    • Terms and conditions agreement
    • Marketing contact consent
  • Additional Data:
    • Bonus entries earned
    • Prizes won
    • Receipt validation status
    • IP address information
    • Tags applied to entries

Status-Based Filtering

Use the Status column header to sort and filter entries by their qualification status:
  • Qualified — Valid entries eligible for prizes
  • Disqualified — Entries removed by entry rules or manual review

Checkpoint filtering (Treasure Hunt)

For Treasure Hunt cards, two additional filters appear in the filter panel:
  • Completed checkpoint(s) — Show only entries where the participant has completed one or more of the selected checkpoints
  • Not completed checkpoint(s) — Exclude entries where the participant has completed any of the selected checkpoints
These filters let you target participants based on their progress through the hunt. For example, you can find everyone who completed Checkpoint A but has not yet completed Checkpoint B. Active checkpoint filters display as removable chips above the entries table. The entries table also includes a Checkpoints column for Treasure Hunt cards, showing the number of checkpoints each participant has completed. Hover over the count to see a breakdown of individual checkpoints and their completion times.
Checkpoint filters carry through to exports and bulk operations, so you can export or bulk-update only the entries matching your checkpoint criteria.
Tip: Combine search with column filtering for precise entry management. For example, search for a specific domain and filter by “Disqualified” to review blocked entries from that source.

Bulk Entry Management Operations

Selection Methods

Use the checkbox system to perform bulk operations:
  • Individual Selection — Check boxes next to specific entries

Entry Validation & Verification Processes

Automatic Validation

The system automatically validates entries using:
  • Contact Information — Email format and phone number validation
  • Duplicate Detection — Prevents multiple entries from same user (configurable)
  • Entry Rules — Applies fraud prevention rules automatically
  • Reference Table Matching — Validates against external data sources

Status Management

Each entry displays a clear status indicator:
  • Qualified — Entry passed all validation checks

FAQ

How do I handle large volumes of entries efficiently?

For high-volume competitions:
  • Set up Entry Rules for automatic fraud prevention
  • Use automated workflows for immediate processing
  • Apply tags for efficient organization
  • Export data in filtered batches rather than all at once
  • Use status-based filtering to focus on entries requiring attention

Can I recover entries that were accidentally disqualified?

Yes, you can manually override entry status:
  • Use search to find the specific entry
  • Click on the entry to view details
  • Change status from Disqualified to Qualified
  • Add a tag to track manual overrides for audit purposes

What’s the difference between entry management and entry rules?

Entry Rules are automated fraud prevention rules that run when entries are submitted. Entry Management is the interface for reviewing, organizing, and managing entries after they’ve been processed by the rules. Use both together for comprehensive entry handling.

How do I set up automated prize notifications?

Configure automated prize workflows in your Data Capture Communications section with trigger conditions based on prize eligibility. Then use Entry Management to track delivery and manage winner communications.
